Answers to common questions about usage, pricing, and policies.
What kind of service is pome?
pome is a platform that aggregates and displays blogs whose ownership has been verified via DNS. Only blogs with real, verifiable domains are eligible. Scraped, reposted, or third-party publishing platforms are excluded.
What types of blogs are supported?
Blogs operated by individuals or teams where the domain owner can verify ownership are supported.
Why is DNS verification required?
DNS verification is used to technically confirm domain ownership. Email verification or OAuth alone cannot reliably prevent third-party registrations, which is why DNS verification is required.
What needs to be set in DNS?
You only need to add a single TXT record as instructed. This does not affect any existing records or settings.
How do I complete DNS verification?
1) Log in to your domain provider (e.g., Cloudflare, Namecheap). 2) Add the provided TXT record. 3) Save the changes. Detailed instructions are shown during registration.
How long does DNS verification take?
Usually a few minutes to several tens of minutes, but depending on DNS propagation it may take up to several hours.
Is DNS verification safe?
Yes. TXT records are used solely for ownership verification and do not affect your site’s content, SEO, or access permissions.
What happens if I remove the DNS record?
Ownership verification will fail on the next check and your blog will be unpublished. You can restore it by re-adding the record.
What is the process from registration to publication?
1) Register your domain → 2) DNS verification → 3) Content review → 4) Published (verified).
What does “under review” mean?
After DNS verification, we perform a lightweight review to ensure the site aligns with our guidelines.
What are the approval criteria?
We check that the site is not spam, not unauthorized reposting, not primarily ad- or affiliate-driven, and contains a reasonable amount of original content.
Can a blog be rejected or unpublished?
Yes. Spam sites, link-only pages, or sites suspected of copyright infringement may be unpublished.
Can I reapply after rejection?
Yes. After addressing the issues, please contact us by email to request a re-review.
Are all articles on my blog displayed?
No. We only collect articles under your sitemap or the specified blog path.
Is a sitemap required?
A sitemap is not required, but if available it will be prioritized.
What is a blog path?
It is the common URL path where your articles are located (e.g., https://example.com/blog). Only pages under this path are collected.
What if my site does not have a sitemap?
We crawl starting from the blog path, though accuracy may be lower compared to using a sitemap.
How often are new articles reflected?
Articles are collected on a scheduled basis. The exact frequency is being adjusted during the beta period.
Where do titles and descriptions come from?
They are automatically extracted from HTML meta tags and structured data.
Can I edit article content on pome?
No. All displayed content is based on the original site.
What happens if I delete my blog?
The blog and all related articles will be unpublished.
Can I register someone else’s blog?
No. DNS ownership verification makes third-party registration impossible.
Are AI-generated blogs allowed?
They are not completely prohibited, but depending on content quality and operation, they may be unpublished.
Can I register platforms like Zenn, Qiita, or Medium?
No. Ownership of such platforms cannot be verified via DNS, so they are not supported.
Why is pome in beta?
To improve collection methods and display rules based on early user feedback.
Is pome free to use?
Currently, pome is free. Paid features may be introduced in the future.
Who is responsible for the content displayed?
Each blog owner is responsible for their content. pome only aggregates and displays links and metadata.
How can I contact support?
You can reach us via the contact form or the listed support email.
Does registering affect my SEO?
No. pome does not modify your site or inject scripts. Registration has no direct impact on SEO.
Will pome increase traffic to my blog?
pome aims to help readers discover quality writing. While some traffic may result, no specific traffic volume is guaranteed.
